News - May 2002

21st May 2002 - Better hurry if you want to get your copy of Laughter of Dark Gods first - Black Library Day takes place this coming Sunday(26th) at Warhammer World. The good news is that not only will you get to buy it before everyone else but also that cover artist Clint Langley will be there to sign it for you! Limited numbers of tickets are available from In-Store Mail Order Telesales, Webstore & Forge World Telesales and Webstore.

19th May 2002 - It's currently in the planning stage but I'm pleased to announce that Bill has agreed to make himself available for a scheduled chat with Forum members early in June. This is the first of a  proposed series of such events and if you're interested in taking part, all you have to do is join up. We look forward to seeing you there!

16th May 2002 - I am absolutely delighted to announce that we received visitor number 1000 today. I may not know who you are but I do thank you (and of course, everyone else!) most sincerely for helping us reach this first milestone so quickly. Cheers folks. :)

13th May 2002 - Good news! As of 19.00 hours BST, Zarghan Ironfist, delusional madman and servant of Slaneesh, has finally been purged from the system and the Trollslayer Forum has resumed normal service. Credit must be given to the tech adepts for some outstanding work - a job well done, lads!

12th May 2002 - Alas, it's as I feared - things were obviously going far too well after the launch and sadly, I have now been forced to make the following public service announcement concerning the Trollslayer Forum :-

We regret to announce that our forum has been annexed by Zarghan Ironfist of the Emperors Children Chapter of Space Marines. Working in conjunction with the Inquisition our tech adepts are making round-the-clock efforts to sever this evil entity's link with our datacore. However, until the process of exorcism is complete, any visitors to the forum may be subject to taunts, threats and the insane rantings of a 10000 year old self-proclaimed demigod. Please note that Zarghan is subject to an Inquisition termination edict for crimes too heinous to be recorded. Any contact with him is tantamount to heresy. You have been warned

8th May 2002 - Okay, as if the launch of Bill's own site weren't enough for one week, Tech Adept Ragnar of the Black Library  has also just sprung a surprise of his own, with the announcement of a Gotrek & Felix interactive page! Apparently he has been secretly working away on the project and has finally decided to let people know about it. Have to say he's done a mighty fine job on it too. You get to fly Malakai's airship about the old world, visiting places of interest from the Slayer books and also get overviews of the characters, extracts from the books and....oh, just go and check it out for yourself! And to think they said that *my* bio pic of Bill was scary.... :D

Be warned though - it does require a Flash 5 or greater plug-in to work and takes a minute or two to load up. Definitely worth it though - well done that man.

7th May 2002 - Okay, ladies and gentleman - today's the day! Yep, that's right Trollslayer.net has now been officially launched by no less a personage than Marc Gascoigne himself - cheque's in the post, Mr. Gascoigne! Seriously though, I would like to thank Marc for all his support - it's much appreciated.

Anyway, as Bill said elsewhere, go and have a good look round and don't forget to let us know what you think either via the guestbook or by email. It'd be really nice to get some feedback, particularly about what you folks would really like to see onsite....

4th May 2002 - The official Farseer release date. Have you got it yet? If not, what are you waiting for?!!

3rd May 2002 - I am delighted to announce that the Farseer Interview is now complete and uploaded into the Interviews section of this site.  Crackerjack timing or what...?!
