News - March 2003

30th March 2003 - Time for a last minute reminder about the Daemonslayer and Dragonslayer Correction Competitions. The final deadline for you to get your entries in by is midnight (UK time) this coming Tuesday, the 1st of April. Go on, have a go - there's signed copies of both books plus Giantslayer up for grabs!

28th March 2003 - Okay, we all know the official release date for Giantslayer isn't for another week or so but rumour has it that copies have already been finding their way onto the shelves of some UK Games Workshop stores. Anyway, I thought it my duty to report this to all the fans out there eagerly awaiting the seventh installment of the Slayer saga - get ye to a GW store and check to see if it's there! Who knows, you may get lucky...

28th March 2003 - This one's for the Czech fans amongst you. According to my source, Martin Fajkus, the reprint of Trollslayer is now out in the Czech Republic. Even better news than that though is that he's been told that Giantslayer is being translated by the publisher Polaris even as I type! Thanks for the update Martin - as ever, it's much appreciated!

24th March 2003 - You have exactly a week to get you entries in for the Dragonslayer/ Daemonslayer Corrections Competition - if you want to be in with a chance to win autographed books, get them in asap! Good luck!

21st March 2003 - Thanks to Mike Ball across at the Black Library, I can now confirm the official UK release date of Giantslayer - the 7th of April. Rest of the World should see it approximately one month later.

20th March 2003 - It's a good day for site stuff. As well as the Interview below, Bill has also just completed an essay, giving us some insight into Writing  for the Black Library. Obviously, the usual disclaimer applies - i.e. this is simply Bill's observations, not gospel - and if you are a writer who wants to work for the Black Library, please pay particular attention to the comment at the end.

20th March 2003 - Okay, as promised, here is the Giantslayer Interview that Bill was kind enough to do for the site. In it, he talks about Giantslayer (it's a shocker, I know!), Teclis, Wolfblade, the Inferno Special and writing in general - no spoilers unless you count him telling you about the death of...oops, nearly gave it away there!

17th March 2003 - Bill has confirmed that he should be at Games Day LA on the 31st of May so if you want to pop along to have a chat and have a book signed, please feel free.

13th March 2003 - I am very pleased to announce that Bill will be taking part in an author chat this weekend with members of the Trollslayer Yahoo Group and the Bulletin Board. For those of you unable to join us on the night, a transcript of the chat will be made available in the files section on the Yahoo group and possibly even on the site at some later date.

12th March 2003 - I know you're all probably aware of the reviews section here but the Black Library have now launched their very own one, so if you want to have your say and let people know what you think of Gotrek & Felix, Ragnar or Farseer, then please feel free.

7th March 2003 - Well, Bill has finally found the time to pen a new Authorised Column and it tells us what he's been up to the past few months. He's certainly been a very busy man...

6th March 2003 - I recently completed an interview with Bill and in it, he talks about Giantslayer, writing in general, and Wolfblade amongst other things. It's undergoing a final edit at the moment but look out for it onsite shortly!

5th March 2003 - For those of you who haven't seen it, the Giantslayer PDF extract is now available across at the Black Library site and you can download it here:

Go on, have a read - you know you want to!

1st March 2003 - Well folks, you have exactly a month left to get your entries in for the Daemonslayer and Dragonslayer Competition. If you want to win autographed books, check out the details here
