Yes. before
he dies, we will find out exactly why Gotrek became a slayer.
|
There are no immediate plans for
anything although several potential new series have been mentioned- Tyrion
and Teclis being one of them.
|
Nope, currently no plans.
Presently the only way I can see Chaos Dwarves getting involved in the
series at this late date is if they sent a contingent to the Great Chaos
Incursion currently under way. If they do, and they meet Gotrek, their
lives, to quote Thomas Hobbes will be nasty, brutish and short, just like
them in fact.
|
Wont
be doing any books about Max in the forseeable future, although
there is also the possibility of perhaps doing a book of short stories
featuring the support characters from the series in their own tales: Max,
Snorri, Ulrika and even Grey Seer Thanquol. Actually I have had more
than a few requests for a book featuring only the Skaven. Just
goes to show!
|
Fraid not. He was
named after him though.
|
I did once down
three pints in under 30 seconds to win a bet. Unfortunately I then had to
run to the bathroom and almost throw up. This was indeed when I was a
student. Dont really know where the idea of the contest came from. It just
seems like something that slayers would do, doesn't it?
|
They will
meet Teclis but not in Ulthuan. I don't know about any other heroes as yet.
We'll see.
|
I
don't know if the Jaegers will manage it in this generation. Either they
would have to be promoted by special dispensation of the Emperor, or
perhaps an Elector, or they would have to marry into the nobility. Since
Felix and Gotrek are currently on the wanted list for crimes against the
Empire the former is unlikely. Given Felix's avowed dislike of the
Imperial nobility, I can't see him taking the marriage route. His
brother is already married. Still you never know, all things are
possible in the fullness of time. Maybe Felix's dad will be able to buy
a patent of nobility.
|
I don't yet. The series will
definitely have an ending though.
|
Indeed
it does. Nobody is safe - except maybe Felix.
|
I have met Kim a couple of times but would
not claim to know him well. I do think he's an excellent writer. I have
never intentionally played with any of his characters although I often refer
back to Detlief Sierck when I want to make references to a play simply
because he was established as the Warhammer world's William Shakespeare in
previous novels.
|
The
Von Diehls were my creation. First appeared in Wolf Riders.
Later they started cropping up in other places. Back in the original run of
anthologies Neil Jones and I had the idea of making Lothar a long running
baddie. He was going to get up to all sorts of things but this never
happened. The only surviving relic of that period is the Ultimate Ritual. He
might appear yet though, and the clan may make a reappearance too at some
point.
|
I dont know if Snorri will ever get rune weapons. He's happy
with what he has.
|
Will Max and Thanquol ever have a rematch? Not if the Grey
Seer can help it. Thanquol likes the odds to be completely in his favour.
|
He's doubtless working on
some new modification to the airship.

16. I
remember reading an extract in the days of yore of Snorri Nosebiter
getting himself killed in the most pointless way possible: being squashed
by the troll he had just slain! Please put my mind at rest and tell me
this is not the way he is gonna bite the dust! Also in the same extract (i
think!) Felix is saved from a wyvern by the emperor himself. What i cant
understand is why felix would be cowering from a wyvern? He didn't cower
from the bloodthirster.
I know the extract you are referring to and your memories
of it are all correct. It was in the old Imperial Army book for which I
wrote the colour text. These things were written when such was the only
way of keeping G&F in print the original GW book line having vanished,
and I regret some of them now, so much so that I cunningly inserted
a section in Giantslayer that implies that many of them were visions Felix
had when he was imprisoned in the strange demonic half-worlds within the
Paths of the Old Ones. You know- images of possible parallel worlds,
things that might have been or may yet be. Myself I would rather that
Snorri did not get his by falling under a bus, and Felix is a far less
wimpy character than the one that appeared in that little story.
