Column -

Hello again. My apologies for the delay with this column. Its been a strange old week with a lot of computer problems many of which as it turned out were caused by a Trojan which somehow managed to have found its way onto my notebook. There's a lesson there-always make sure your protective software is bang up to date!
Death's Angels
On the positive side I have finished the book I was working on. It's tentatively titled Death's Angels.
It's with my test readers now. I am very pleased by the way this one turned out although the ending shocked even me.
D&D 3.5
To celebrate the completion of the book I treated myself to all three core rule books of the revised 3rd edition rules for D&D. Yet again the good people at WOTC have done a bang-up job. I was really impressed. Many of the changes were ones I had either implemented or considered implementing myself.
Inspired by this, for my own amusement, I have been working on a set of d20 rules for Sword and Sorcery, the favourite pulp genre of my youth. I am thinking of posting them on the site here if anybody's
interested. With them you should be able to create in worlds like those of Robert E Howard, Karl Edward Wagner and the early Michael
Moorcock.
Mugs and Mousemats
I recently received a UPS package from the UK which contained a Gotrek and Felix mug and mousemat. The mug is very nice, with a fine compilation of
Geoff Taylor's cover illustrations. The mousemat is really clever too.
It's a version of the map that BL uses in the G&F feature on its site complete with little floating airship that moves around inside of it. Unfortunately my one appears to have gotten some air bubbles inside of it in transit so it looks a bit odd. Still,
it's sitting on my desktop right now along with the mug.
Brother's Visit
As mentioned in my last column my brother Colin was visiting here from Bermuda. Unfortunately we were too lazy to take any photographs as we wondered around Prague so there's none to show here. It was good to see
him though.
Right, that's it for this month. 'Til next
time...
All
the best
Bill
