Gamesday
Well, Gamesday has been and gone for another year, and as ever it was more fun than stuffing a sack full of wombats. The highlights were doing a panel with Marco and Vince from Black Library, signing lots of books, meeting lots of people, and watching Wolfblade sell out before I went for my lunch. (Always nice that when you are the author.) I neglected to take my camera with me, so no pictures unfortunately.
I’d just like to take this opportunity to say hello to everybody I met and thank you to everybody who asked questions at the panel. Those of you who weren’t there missed out on finding out about such new projects as my Larry the Land Raider children’s book, and a possible future team up between Gotrek and the Lion King. See what you miss when you don’t show up!
It was a busy old Gamesday for me and I did not have as much time as I would have liked to look around the exhibits and games. Oh well, maybe next year. I did manage to scam a few freebies such as a box of Warcry cards (thanks Steve) and a very nice Ragnar
tee-shirt - thanks Mike. Free stuff is always good. Even better was a chance to catch up with old mates like Andy Chambers, Robin Dews and Adrian Smith.
Prague Invaded Shock Horror
Imagine my surprise when I got on the plane to come back to Prague to discover there were GW people on it, and lots of them. Imagine my further surprise to discover that the golden city was full of even more of the same people I thought I had just left behind in Nottingham. It was not a fatigue-induced hallucination. There was a Games Workshop managers meeting here. It was very kindly arranged for me to accompany a ship full of the lads on a booze cruise down the Vlatva where I was exposed to the full sanity-shattering horror that is manager’s karaoke night. (Mmm-I am sure there is the plot for a Gotrek and Felix story there.) Seriously though, I had a great time. Some pictures of this event can be found
below (click thumbnail for larger image). Be warned -they are not for the faint of heart.
Right all this trying to remember events of long weeks ago has tired me out and I am off for a lie down. Back next month, hopefully with sanity restored.
All
the best
