Aldred Keppler - Known as 'Fellblade', a knight of the Order of the Fiery Heart. He journeyed to Karag Eight Peaks to retrieve the blade Karaghul.
Big Norri - Villager of Blutdorf, tried to stop Albericht Kruger from taking the village children and had his arms ripped off and force-fed to him.
Count Klein - Ruler of Kleindorf.
Dani - Resident of Flensburg.
Dieter - A stern, grey-haired man, looks after the von Diehl entourage. He employs Gotrek and Felix as mercenaries.
Doctor Gebhardt - Resident of Kleindorf.
Doctor Stockhausen - Doctor to the von Diehl family, he was more concerned with a minor wound inflicted on Manfred than attending those gravely wounded.
Dolphus - Cousin of Heinrich Kasterman, said to have eaten so much he resembled a blob of dough.
Faragrim - Old Dwarf prospector, encountered by Gotrek and Felix in Nuln. During a night of drunken revelry, he told the tale of the lost treasure of Karag Eight Peaks, leading the two companions south.
Father Tempelman - A cleric of Sigmar who lived in Kleindorf.
Frau Hof - Baker in Kleindorf.
Frau Winter - Sorceress, part of the von Diehl entourage, and mistress to Kirsten.
Freda - Resident of Flensburg, member of the party that first encounter Gotrek & Felix.
Fritz Messner - Woodsman and resident of Flensburg. He occupies a position of respect in the town.
Gottfried von Diehl - Baron of the Vennland Marches, exiled after a conflict with their Sigmarite neighbours.
Greta - Barmaid at the Sleeping Dragon in Fredericksburg, she assists Felix after he is beaten by thugs.
Gretchen - Mutant killed by Gotrek during the encounter near Blackfire Pass.
Gunter - Son of the owners of the Standing Stones Inn. His disappearance on Geheimnisnacht eve leads Gotrek and Felix to the Darkstone Ring.

Hef - Trapper, hired by the von Diehl family to guide them across the Border Princes. Felix first encounters him in the trading post where Hef is harassing Kirsten

Katerina von Wittgenstein - Mother of Manfred von Diehl. The von Wittgenstein family have a dark reputation. She died giving birth to Manfred.
Kell - Trapper and guide to the von Diehl family.
Kirsten - Indentured to Frau Winter, part of the von Diehl entourage. Felix rescues her from the attentions of Hef, Kell and Lars in the trading post.
Lady Isolde von Strudeldorf - Young noblewoman from Altdorf, encountered by Gotrek and Felix during a coach journey on the Bögenhafen road.
Lars - Trapper, Felix manages to enamour himself with Lars by smashing his teeth during the fight in the trading post.
Lise - Mother of Gunter and wife of the innkeeper of the Standing Stones Inn.
Lothar Kryptman - Alchemist, living in Fredericksburg. A weirdroot addict, he assists Gotrek & Felix after their encounter in the Sleeping Dragon.

Grungni - Dwarf Ancestor God, chief among the Dwarven pantheon. He is the God of Mining and Underground Places.
Magnus the Pious - Hero of the Empire. During the Great War Against Chaos he managed to rally the divided Empire. His army was triumphant at the Battle for Kislev. He was later elected Emperor.
Shallya - Goddess of Healing and Mercy, her clerics spend much of their lives tending the sick and helpless.
Sigmar - Patron Deity and founder of the Empire. As a man he united the Human tribes, and allied with the Dwarfs, drove the Goblins from the Old World.
Taal - God of Nature and Wild Places, worshipped mainly by those who live in rural areas of the Old World.
Valaya - Dwarf Ancestor Goddess, said to be patron of wisdom and protection.
Garg Gorgul - Huge Ogre encountered by Gotrek and Felix below Karag Eight Peaks.

Emmanuelle von Liebewitz - Elector Countess of Nuln and considered one of the great beauties of the Empire.
Frederick - Hero and founder of the town of Fredericksburg
Ipsen - Historian, wrote the book Wars of the Ancients.
Litzenreich - Alchemist whose experiments with Warpstone led to his being driven out of Middenheim (cf Shadowbreed).
Neustadt - Philosopher, wrote the book De Re Munde.
Oswald von Konigswald - Crown Prince of Ostland. In his youth he led the party which finally defeated the Great Enchanter, Drachenfels (cf Drachenfels).
Queen Hilga - Last queen of Karag Eight Peaks, her personal guard held off an army of Goblins in the Square of Merscha, whilst the Queen and many of the citizens escaped.
Tarradasch - One of the greatest playwrights in the history of the Old World.
Teclis - Elf mage, brother of Tyrion. He travelled to the Old World during the Great War Against Chaos to teach magic, later founding the Imperial Colleges.
Teugen - Artist, best known for his paintings depicting nightmarish scenes.
Age of Woe - Dwarf name referring to the time when the Warpgates collapsed and Chaos entered the world.
Black Coach, The - Unmarked coach that travels the Bögenhafen road on Geheimnisnacht, said to be driven by daemons.
Book of Remembering - Book kept in the temple of Valaya in Karag Eight Peaks, containing the history of the stronghold.

Classical - Ancient Old Worlder language, used mainly by scholars.
Geheimnisnacht - "Night of Mystery", considered extremely unlucky by citizens of the Empire. Both moons are full on this night.
Hexensnacht - "Witching Night". Like Geheimnisnacht, both moons are full on this night.
Karaghul - Magic sword, originally wielded by Raphael. It was discovered by Felix in Thulgul the Troll's treasure hoard.
Magister Magistorum - A title often given to the leader of a Tzeentchian cult.
Mannslieb - "Beloved of Manann", Largest of the two moons
Mórrslieb - "Beloved of Mórr", lesser of the two moons and reputed to consist entirely of Warpstone.
Order, The - Tzeentchian cult, Count Hrothgar and Voorman appear to be members.

Warpstone - raw chaotic energy in solid form. Warpstone is extremely rare and prized by those interested in the dark arts. Prolonged exposure to Warpstone can result in mutations and death.Weirdroot - Hallucinogenic drug, relatively common in the cities of the Empire.
