High Runesmith Valek Runemaster of Karag Dum.  He smote the Terror with his Axe and then spoke the Rune of Unbinding to try and vanquish it. It withdrew but not before prophesying it would return to be the dwarf's doom. Though fatally wounded, Valek made a prophesy of his own before expiring, saying 'to fear not for the Axe would return to them when the Last Days came'.  As he was last in the line of the great Runemasters, he took the secret of the origins of the Hammer of Fate and the Axe of the Runemasters to the grave with him.
