Gotrek Gurnisson - fearless doom-seeking dwarf and leader of the legendary seven deadly slayers who go off to face the Dragon in it's den.
Felix Jaeger - Gotrek's human sidekick, sworn to follow Gotrek through dragonfire and death, in order to record the Trollslayer's final and undoubtedly epic doom.
Bjorni Bjornisson - A Dwarf Slayer, first encountered by Gotrek & Felix at the fair outside Karak Kadrin. As lascivious as he is ugly, Bjorni's manner and nature would shame most Humans, let alone Dwarfs.
Grimme - A Dwarf slayer, first encountered by Felix in the Shrine of Grimnir. He speaks very little, seeming to be too overwhelmed by some personal grief to allow any kind of connection with others.
Malakai Makaisson - A Dwarf slayer. See Daemonslayer.
Max Schrieber - A Mage. See Daemonslayer.
Snorri Nosebiter - A Dwarf Slayer. See Daemonslayer.
Steg - Dwarven Slayer, met by Felix and Gotrek in the Iron Door tavern. His shame lies in being caught as a thief, though he seems little concerned about further tarnishing his name.
Ulli Ullisson - A Dwarven Slayer, who joins Felix and Gotrek's quest to slay the Dragon Skjalindir. His freshly shaven head suggests that he is only a recent convert to the Slayer cult, and his manner is that of a nervous braggart rather than a truly brave warrior.
Ulrika Straghov - A Kislevite swordswoman. See Daemonslayer.
Skjalandir - A huge and ancient Dragon, it is first encountered by the Spirit of Grungni whilst travelling to Kislev. Its long sleep had been disturbed by Kelmain and Lhoigor, who drove Warpstone charms into its flesh, corrupting it. Skjalandir made its nest in a system of caverns below the Dragon Mountain along the Old High Road.
Ugrek Manflayer - A massive Orc, who has united the greenskin tribes near Karak Kadrin. He is known as far as Altdorf, such is his reputation. He is said to skin his captives and make it into cloaks. He wields a magical cleaver.
Boris Blackshield - A caravan guard, met by Max Schreiber in the Emperor's Griffon. He and his brother Hef tell Max the story of Ugrek Manflayer and the Dragon.
Essie - A barmaid in the Broken Pickaxe, who gains the attention of Bjorni when the party rest there.
Hef - A caravan guard and brother of Boris Blackshield, met by Max Schreiber in the Emperor's Griffon.
Henrik Richter - A local bandit chief, he had forged the bands of outlaws together in a bid to defeat the invading horde led by Ugrek Manflayer
Ivan Straghov - A March Boyar. See Daemonslayer..
Jared - Former tutor of Max Schreiber.
Johan Gatz - A minstrel, encountered by Gotrek & Felix whilst travelling to the Dragon Mountain.
Mad Crone, The - Anonymous woman met by Gotrek & Felix in the ruined town near the dragon Vale. She appeared to be the only survivor of the town, and had been driven mad by her experiences
Malgrim Hurnisson - Dwarven prospector, met by Gotrek & Felix on the Old High Road. He tells them of the Dragon and its history.
Marta - Servant of Ivan Straghov, she is sent to gather the servant girls to prepare water when the Skaven attack Straghov Mansion.
Oleg - A warrior who serves Ivan Straghov, he is sent with Standa to accompany Ulrika on her journey to the Ice Queen.
Otto - Bouncer at the Broken Pickaxe, and husband to Essie. He doesn't take kindly to the attention Bjorni pays to his wife.
Peter - A somewhat surly patron of the Broken Pickaxe inn. He made his trade selling along the Old High Road, before the time of the Dragon.Standa - A warrior serving Ivan Straghov, he is sent to accompany Ulrika on her journey to the Ice Queen.
Ungrim Ironfist - Slayer-King of Karak Kadrin. Due to the vow taken by his ancestor Baragor, Ungrim is bound both by his oaths as King and Slayer, and tries to balance both as best he can.
Kelmain Blackstaff - A powerful sorcerer and twin to Lhoigor, he serves Arek Daemonclaw and his warband. Kelmain carries a staff of ebony and silver in his left hand.
Lhoigor Goldenrod - Like his twin brother Kelmain, Lhoigor is a mighty sorcerer, and serves under Arek Daemonclaw. In his right hand he carries gold-sheathed staff.

Boneripper (III) - Thanquol's personal bodyguard, the third Rat Ogre to bear this name.
Grey Seer Thanquol - A skaven magelord. See Daemonslayer.
Lurk Snitchtongue - The Grey Seer's lackey. See Daemonslayer.
Abraxas - "The Great Wyrm", a Dragon so mighty, it is said even Sigmar could only wound it
Grund Hugenose - An Orc, member of the Broken Nose tribe. He leads an attack on Gotrek & Felix's party.
Ixix - Goblin shaman, serving under Ugrek Manflayer, considered mad even by greenskin standards.
Arek Daemonclaw - Chaos champion of Tzeentch and leader of the Chaos warband that was first spotted by Felix whilst travelling in the Spirit of Grungni. Arek is both a mighty warrior and sorcerer. (cf Beastslayer)
Tzarina Katarin - "The Ice Queen", ruler of Kislev. An accomplished mage and warrior, her nickname derives from her cool demeanour as well as her mastery of Ice Magic.
Book of Grudges - A record of every broken promise, slight, or misdemeanour against the Dwarfs of a particular stronghold. Dwarfs are extremely meticulous when it comes to honour, and so a book of grudges represents an extremely accurate - if specific - record of history.
Broken Nose, The - Goblinoid tribe, part of Ugrek Manflayer's warband.
Fang of the Wolf - A star constellation, of which the pole star is part.
Golden Brotherhood, The - A secret order devoted to seeking Chaos and destroying it. Max Schreiber is a member.
Magrest Clan - Dwarven clan, to which Malgrim Hurnisson belongs.
Runefangs - Twelve magical swords, forged by Alaric the Mad as a gift for Sigmar. It took so long for Alaric to forge them that when he finally came to hand them over, Sigmar had long since ascended to the gods. They were handed down to the tribal chiefs, and are still carried by the Electors today.
Vogrund Clan - Dwarven clan, whom Steg tried to rob. He was caught but managed to escape, thus earning his shame and leading him to taking the Slayer oath.
Witchweed - An addictive narcotic.
